COOLSELL Review

A little while ago, COOLSELL sent me an Audio Interface and a guitar cable to try out and review. The items arrived promptly and I opened them the next day.

THE GUITAR CABLE
This is a 10ft guitar cable. The wrapping is made of soft rubber and that allows for very easy rolling up and storing. I have to say that, even though the material is soft rubber, the cable feels quite strong and sturdy. The two 1/4” jacks are made of heavy metal (no pun intended) and the connection feels very strong. One of the ends is elbow-shaped which is quite convenient. This is now my favorite guitar cable around the studio.

THE AUDIO INTERFACE
This is the smallest audio interface I have ever seen. To be honest, I had mixed feelings about it … I feared this would be a flimsy, weak, noisy device, mostly because it is so small.

I have to say that I was very pleasantly surprised. I am totally impressed by this device. First, it is very convenient because of its size. It easily fits in your pocket or in your guitar case. I actually found a small zippered case that I ended up using for storing this. Second, it works very well, and it produces a noise-free sound. Third, it provides for different types of connections.

DEMO No1: Ibanez AF55-TF Hollow Body Electric Guitar
• plug guitar into interface (I needed a small AUX adaptor plug)
• connect interface to iPhone via lightning cable
• use headphones for personal sound
• COMMENTS: good sound, but no effects, and MONO

DEMO No2: Fojill Acoustic-Electric Classical Guitar
• plug guitar into interface
• add minimal effects (reverb, chorus)
• this guitar has built-in effects
• connect interface to iPhone via lightning cable
• use headphones for personal sound
• COMMENTS: very happy with sound

DEMO No3: Ibanez AF55-TF with Roland AC33 Acoustic Amp
• plug guitar into amplifier
• add minimal effects (just a bit of reverb)
• connect amplifier to interface
• connect interface to iPhone via lightning cable
• use headphones for personal sound
• COMMENTS: this sounded a bit better than the first video where I used no amp and no effects but … the sound was a bit distorted and still MONO

DEMO No4: ESP LTD EC-10 Electric Guitar with Fender Mustang Amp
• plug guitar into amplifier
• add some effects (used some effect presents on the amp)
• connect amplifier to interface
• connect interface to iPhone via lightning cable
• use headphones for personal sound
• COMMENTS: this sounded great to me! This setup and sound I can be very happy with! I will definitely return to this setup in the future.

I highly recommend that last set up with the COOLSELL Audio Interface. These two items sent by the company - the guitar cable and the audio interface - are among the most awesome items I was ever sent to review. I am very thankful for it and I like them very much.
