Wedding Medley for Guitar: "Can't Help Falling in Love" and "The Prayer"
I wrote this guitar arrangement for our son’s wedding earlier this year. It is a medley of two timeless songs that are quite appropriate for weddings: “Can’t Help Falling In Love with You” and “The Prayer.”
The piece is late-intermediate or early-advanced level and it uses the first twelve frets of the instrument, along with lots of harmonic changes, dynamic variations, natural harmonics, and more.
I am including a six-page score that provides staff notation as well as TAB notation. I have not included fingerings because the score is already quite busy as it is, but the TAB should help with left-hand fingering. The right hand fingering should be easy to figure out.
This piece will work great for wedding or anniversary occasions, but it should not be limited to that. The familiarity of most audiences with the two songs in the medley should make this a good selection for almost any performance opportunity.
